The Cairo Opera House is a Cultural Center, which is situated on the southern Gezira Island in the Nile River. It was established on 10th October, 1888. The objective of the house is to encourage the arts of music and dance where it maintains the traditional Arab music. The Center is divided into six departments such as the Opera Studio, Piano Division, Classic Ballet Division, Choral Group Division, Suzuki Violin Division and Arabic & Instrumental Music Department. The museum has a main hall of 1200 seats with separate arrangements for Orchestra, three tiers and Presidential box. There is another hall with a capacity of 500 seats for the musical and recital purpose. The Opera house also has some other special venues inside the museum such as El-Gomhouria Theatre, Alexander Opera House, Arab Music Institute and Educational Development Center. Special programs like exhibitions and training classes are also conducted in different artistic fields for young talented people. The Restaurants are available near to the Opera House to satisfy the hunger of the visitors. The Opera House museum is a paradise for those who loves to keeps their photos with historical places.

How to Reach:
By Metro: Get the Metro Line 1 from Gamal Abdel Nasser, which takes around 9 minutes to reach the destination.
By Bus: Take the buses 355 and 357 from Downtown which takes 28 minutes to reach the museum.
Tickets: Entrance fee is 25 EGP.
