Giza Zoo is one of the famous zoological Garden in the whole world. It was established in 1891 by Khedive Ismail. It is spread across 80 acres near the west bank of Nile River and is under the control of Ministry of Agriculture in Egypt. The zoo consists of five huge gates which welcomes the visitors at each direction. It is a huge exhibition of wild life which covers 6000 animals covering 175 species and there are a few animals which faces extinction from the earth. The climate is so good that helps to preserve the lives of animals without the use of air conditioning for cooling or warming. The hill areas are planted with Cactus trees and fruits giving a typical mountainous view. The historical attractions of the Giza Zoo are Citadel Grotto, Suspension Bridge, Kiosk, Girandole Grotto and Tea Island Grotto. From Suspension bridge the visitors can have a close view of animals. The zoo also have the enjoyments like 3D cinema, kids play garden and electric cars for the entertainment of children. The Children are even allowed to feed the animals which make their visit euphoric. The zoo is committed to conduct the research about animals and birds. Around 3.4 million visitors visit the zoo annually. One should not miss the chance to visit such a wonderful zoo of Giza.

How to Reach:
By Metro: The nearest metro station is Giza which takes 7 minutes to reach the destination.
By Bus: Take the bus numbers 355 and 357 from Downtown to Giza Pyramids. The Giza zoo is 1½ kilometers away from the Giza pyramids.
Tickets: Entry fee is 3 Egyptian pounds.
Timings: Open 365 days a year from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
