Bomas of Kenya is an outlook of Kenya. It can also be said as its miniature. It let us know about Kenya’s culture, its heritage and lots more. The building is made by the ancestors therefore it has a traditional look. The meaning of Bomas is homestead; it’s displayed on your tour. It belongs to the government, it was built to attract tourist and also maintain its culture and heritage. The living style, crafts, music and dancing are the different aspects of Kenyan culture that are displayed here. Kikuyu, Kalenjin, Luhya, Taita, Embu, Maasai, Kamba, Kisii, Kuria, Mijikenda and Luo are the ethnic groups of people representing traditional lifestyle of village.

The Harambee dancers perform daily in the Bomas theatre that has a capacity of 3500 people. They represent different tribes and perform on kaleidoscope rhythm and hue. The Samburu warriors vault skywalk as they woo their maidens with chanting cries and twirling spears. The show starts at 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm during weekdays and 3:30 pm to 5:15 pm on weekends and public holidays.
