The Koutoubia Mosque is the largest mosque in Marrakech Museum and also one of the popular landmarks among the tourists. The mosque is also famous with other names like Kutubiya Mosque, Jami' al-Kutubiyah, Kutubiyyin Mosque, and Mosque of the Booksellers. The complex of the mosque also accommodates lush green gardens which are floodlit at night. The mosque is embellished beautifully with decorative arches, curved windows, pointed merlons and a band of ceramic inlay.

The key highlight of this Mosque is its Minaret that also has a spire and orbs. The Minaret is 70 meters high and can be spotted from any point of the city. The top of the Minaret is decorated with copper balls of decreasing size, which is one of the symbols of traditional Moroccan design. The visitors can marvel this beautiful landmark and its beautiful gardens from the outside only as Non-Muslims are not allowed to enter into the mosque and its minaret

Visiting Timings: Monday to Sunday- 08:00am to 08:00pm.

How to reach: The nearest train station is Koutoubia, which is just a five minute walk away from the station. "
