When France was conquered by the Nazis, Brazzaville was the capital of “Free France” in the 1940s. de Gaulle built a grand house here for himself that shill draws hordes of tourists every year, specially from Europe. This is a highly historical place and one can see the evolution of the city from 1940 to the present day. It is also located centrally in the city.
