Just like other fish markets, the best time to visit here is early morning. There are various fishermen’s housewives sell fried fish of various types. When you visit here, you would find the view of fishermen cleaning their stands/booths and boats. Here, you would also find attractive seashells which can be purchased. The fish market is a good place for having lunch. However, since it is not a popular tourist spot, no fancy restaurants are seen here. You can enjoy local food with locals. There are 2 eateries across the street. Here, one can get fresh fish from the fish market being served with chips and rice. It is good to eat here with locals. The atmosphere is quite good and people come in over here from rural areas too. You can save a lot of money here as the food is very cheap. The market is categorized into 2 main parts and have 8 main zones. 1 of them is the auction. The other sections are mainly for cooking and cleaning the fish and selling them at marked-up prices.
