A day spent in the lush green world of Hong Kong Wet land Park is the one of the best thing in Hong Kong. In their own unique attempt to save a bit of lush green land, Hong Kong Wet land was created in 1998. With around 200 acres of Wetland reserve, this Eco Tourism Park is one of its kinds. This park is an ideal example of the beautiful amalgamation between the human, plants and animal civilization. Being the permanent home to some of the most impressive flora and fauna like multicolour butterflies, amphibians, birds, fishes, crabs, mudskippers, reptiles this mini island is a photographer’s paradise.
For better understanding of the natural ecosystem alongside this natural reservoir, wildlife themed exhibition galleries, theatre, resource centre and an indoor playing arena has been built

What to watch out for: Though the park is a delight to watch anytime of the year but two peak times are October - November and March – April. At this time the park is entirely filled with migratory birds from all over the world.
• Mosquitoes are a big problem here so it is best to opt for long sleeved clothing. Mosquito repellent creams are also effective.
• Low tide is the best time to check the various birds and crabs as the water level reduces giving a better visibility.
