Tai O is a fishing town that is partly located within the island with the same name. It is located on the western side of the Lantau Island and it is also known as the ‘Venice of Hong Kong’. This place is a tourist spot for both the localities and the foreigners of Hong Kong. The stilt houses are located right above the waterway and is quite a scenic view. The salted fish and the shrimp paste is quite a traditional dish in Hong Kong that is served here. What to watch for?
With a small fee, you can look around the city on a small boat. The boat moves all along the river and for shorter jaunts in the sea.
