It is not clear as to who built the Birbal Bhawan exactly, however the intricate and fragile carvings and designs are so beautiful that it is not easy to neglect this Mughal monument. Located in Fatehpur Sikri behind the Jodha Bai palace, this building was called a mini jewelry box by French author Victor Hughes because of the intricately carved red sandstone arches and columns and a double white dome.
