Study the strongest architecture of Mughal Era at Agra Fort

Built in 1564 AD by the Mughal emperor Akbar, this structure is the emblem of the strength of the Mughals. Built over an area of 2.4 km, it has double castellated ramparts of Redstone with bastions constructed at every interval 9 meter wide and 10 meter deep moat surrounds the entire length of the fort with a 22 meter high internal wall. This invincible fort is believed to be the strongest construction of the era. The fort took 8 years and 4000 builders to complete. The fort consist of 4 major gates of which one that opens facing the river is known as KHIZRI gate.
