The hall of state guests or Shah Mahal or better famous as Diwan I Khas once housed the most precious Peacock throne of Mughal emperor. It is an UNESCO world heritage site situated inside the Agra fort. Constructed in 1635 and has two halls. The inner hall is known as the Tambi Khana. The most important feature of the building is that it has a wooden flat ceiling that is entirely covered in gold and silver leaves and motifs. The building is open on all the three sides and can be entered through the 5 arched open gate supported by two strong pillars. Persian carvings and inscriptions on black stone adore the walls created out of intricate designs and patterns.
