Bodh Gaya : Eternal peace

Reviewed 08 February 2013
Went to Bodh Gaya January last year just cos people said its very peaceful out there and would do good to our troubled souls. So hubby and I went to Bodh Gaya for a weekend trip. Indeed, our friends were right. This place is just so peaceful and energizing at the same time. The harmonious chanting that resound all around fills one with a new life. Its quite clean and beautiful around, not like the regular Hindu temples. Number of monasteries and very amiable monks. Only sorry sight was the beggars, specially little children begging on the streets. As suggested by friends we went around the place only during day time and stayed indoors in our hotel after nightfall. Didn’t see anything, but people say it may not be that safe at night. Apart from the little inconveniences of travel, a fantastic sojourn indeed.
