Ubud Monkey Forest is one of the most visited attraction in Ubud. This forest is inhabited by a large number of grey long-tailed macaque which are known to be best amongst their community due to their community-based management. The Ubud Monkey Forest is located on the fringes of the Ubud main centre and is overseen by the Padangtegal village. The forest is also famous as Sacred Monkey Forest of Padangtegal and this place also serves as a site of spiritual as well as cultural aspects as it also accommodates temples sanctified by the local villagers deep within its ground.

Visiting Hours: Daily 08:00 to 18:00 hours

Ticket Charges: Public admission is a mere IDR 10,000-15,000. Pay for a one-time ticket, and stay for as long as you wish.

How to reach: You need to start from the Ubud main road and enter south into Jalan Hanoman, which leads you to a right turn to Jalan Monkey Forest and the sanctuary.
