Masjid Negara is one of the main attractions of Kuala Lumpur as it also welcomes Non Muslims to experience its majestic beauty. The Masjid Negara is a modern mosque which can accommodate nearly 15,000 people. The most striking feature of this mosque is its structure that includes its 73 meters tall minaret or slender tower, which resembles a closed umbrella and its star shaped roof which looks like an open blue hued umbrella. The interiors of the mosque are a pure modern design that portrays that symbolizes traditional Islamic Art, ornamentation and unique calligraphy. The mosque also houses enormous lush green garden which is one of the largest in Asia. There are many reflecting pools and fountains around the compound of the mosque that adds to the beauty of the mosque.
