The museum displays exhibits and lectures by historians. The house has an irregular shape with rectangular rooms around the central hall. The main entrance is to the north and the second entrance is from the west which was used by the women. To the south west corner of the building are small rooms. There is a large stairway system opposite the main entrance hall. The stairway and hall jut out from the façade above each other which connects the two levels above the main door and large wooden structure. The kitchen of the house lies in the south east corner. A light pavilion like structure called as kushk is above the building, which gives seven floors. This place is used for sleeping and resting as it is cool at that height. Nasseef House is recognised as ‘The House with the Tree’ as it was the only house having tree in Balad. This Neem tree to the north of the house will be the oldest tree in Jeddah.
