Insadong is a dong, or neighbourhood of the Jongno-gu district of the South Korean city of Seoul. It is one of Seoul’s most touristy areas. It has a variety of souvenirs and mementos to take back home and you will find yourself spoilt for choice. The streets are also composed of shacks and food stalls that sell the treats like the Korean favourite – Mandu and other street foods and snacks. A good tip to follow while you are in Insadong and want a bite to eat, is top go back into one of the alleyways off the Insadong where the prices are relatively cheaper. From Insadong, it is a short walk to other tourist attractions like the Gyeongbukgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok village.
