Seek blessings at Mengjia Longshan Temple

Longshan Temple is located near the Danshui River on the west of Taipei, in the city’s oldest district known as “Bangka”. It is a three-century-old Lungshan Temple and is one of the most significant places of worship in the country. The temple is designed in a manner similar to a Chinese palace and it sensibly accommodates several gods, including Guanshiyin Buddha. People from all around the world visit this temple to seek blessings from the goddess of the temple for wellbeing and protection. The temple usually remains crowded and the no. of visitors increases on the first and fifteenth day of every lunar month. The key highlights of the temple include intricate hand-carved details on the pillars, ceilings and rooftops of every structure.
