Wat Arunratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan or simply Wat Arun is the temple of Dawn in Bangkok. The temple is named after Aruna, the Indian god of dawn. It was beheld by King Taksin in 1768. This is situated on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. Thailand is a parish of more than 31200 Buddhist temples called Wat. This temple is the most beautiful riverside landmark of Thailand. This is an architectural presentation of Mount Meru, which is the center of the world in Buddhist nature of being. During sunset an extraordinary view of the glittering monument can be enjoyed from the east side of the river. The Wat Arun displays the images of the guardian Gods from the four directions. It is 70 meters high and decorated with tiny pieces of colored glass and Chinese porcelain. One can climb the Central Prang Tower and view the Chao Phraya River, the Grand Palace and the Wat Pho temple which is located adjacent to the Wat Arun. One can call this place a unique cultural site bounded by beautiful architectural work and sceneries.

Sky Train: The nearest metro station is the Saphan Taksin Station. Take the metro line 2 to reach the spot.
By Bus: Catch the Bus No.1, 25, 44, 47, 62 and 91.
Tickets: Admission Fee is 30 baht for foreigners, while entry is free for Thai citizens.
Timings: Visiting time is 8.30 am to 5.30 pm on all the days.
