Aspendos is an archaeological site that serves as a home to a Roman theatre commonly thought to be the best preserved in the world and one of Turkey's top tourist attractions. With a distance across of 96 meters (315 ft), the theater gave seating to 15,000 spectators. The theater was inherent 155 by the Greek planner Zenon, a local of the city. It was intermittently repaired by the Seljuqs, who utilized it as a caravansary, and in the thirteenth century the stage building was changed over into a castle by the Seljuqs of Rum. It was an antiquated Greco-Roman city in Antalya region of Turkey.

The ruined city of Aspendos also includes a substantial aqueduct and less impressive remains of an agora, basilica and stadium, and you can ramble through the fields to find them, though it's the theater that you really want to see.
