The Helsinki Zoo is very popular and it is one of the major attractions of Helsinki tourism. The Helsinki Zoo is also known for its world class wildlife park settings. The zoo is several hectares in area and there are almost 150 different animal species living in the zoo. In spring the zoo is full of life. The bears have woken from winter sleep and the first animal babies of the year are taking their first steps. The definite sign of spring is when the peacocks emerge from their winter dwellings.
