The Helsinki City Art Museum main building, a department store from 1913, presents an exhibition Mad About Helsinki. The exhibition tells the history of the city through the favourite places and storied of the Helsinki residents. Old documentary movies about Helsinki (mainly in Finnish) are shown at Kino Engel. This small, free museum is full of interesting displays that give a great insight into the history of the city and its people.
