Take a walk at the Merrion Square

The historic Merrion Square dates back to the 18th century, but it's actually more famous for the architecture surrounding it. Brick townhouses line three sides, many of which house businesses today, but they once served as the private residences of several famous Dubliners including W. B. Yeats and Daniel O'Connell. If you're a fan of pretty poetry or interested in learning more about Catholic emancipation, then a visit might be worth it -- just to be able to boast that you've been to these famed Irishmen's homes.
