Mount Royal is a large hill or small mountain in the city, situated immediately west of downtown Montreal. It is 764-foot mountain that provides stunning view of the city and is a popular recreation spot. The mountain also houses the Mount Royal Park which is one of Montreal's largest greenspaces. The park consists of a small artificial lake; a short ski slope; cross-country skiing trails; a sculpture garden; and Smith House, an interpretive centre. The visitors can take a beautiful walk or bus ride which is entirely free of charge, and the Belvedere observatory offers amazing views of downtown Montreal and the mountains over on the south bank. This hill is a great selfie spot, too so don’t forget to click some amazing pictures.
