A trip to the Anstey Hill Recreation Park

Anstey Hill Recreation Park is a protected area, northeast of Adelaide, South Australia. Home to a number of rare number of species, it is every bird watcher's, photographer’s, bush walkers and painter’s haven for inspiration. The park is mainly designed for recreational activities. Featured with short-term creeks, steeps, low hills, it is a perfect place for family outings. A wide variety of flora and fauna is found here. Extensive walking trails enabling people to walk and also ride bikes with a view to some of the astonishing plant species along the trail is one of the most enjoyable things to do. Some 145 species of birds, foreign animals such as the red fox, European hare, and European rabbits too can be found here.

Ancient ruins such as the Newman’s nurse is also one of the places to pay a visit to. A wealth of brilliance awaits all those people who wish to be amidst nature and spend some quality time in its glory.

Entry Time: The entry is free and remains open from dawn to dusk. Available on all days.

How to reach: It is 16 km northeast of Adelaide. Access is from Perseverance road.
