Day 1

On your arrival at Zvartnots international airport our representative will transfer your respective hotel in Yerevan. After check in at your hotel we will head for our city tour to visit the Genocide Complex, St Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral which is the most recent as well as the biggest church of Yerevan and the oldest cathedral in the world dating back to 16th century. The itinerary also include visits to Hrazdan canyon, Victory Park and a walking tour of city centre.

In the end you will enjoy the dinner in an Armenian national restaurant with live music.

Day 2  

The second day of your tour will start with the breakfast at the hotel and after that we will visit the Khor Virap or Xor Virap which is an Armenian Apostolic Church monastery located in the Ararat valley in Armenia. The monastery is a pilgrimage site which is also attributed to the fact that Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for 13 years without any food and proved that Christianity is a very powerful religion. From Khor Virap you will also enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Ararat.

Further we will visit the Areni winery to taste different kinds of home-made wine as well as local bread-lavash and dry-fruits along with a short introduction film about wine-production in Armenia. We will also go for a short hiking tour over Areni canyon.

Our next stop will be Noravank which is a 13th-century Armenian monastery located in a narrow gorge made by the Amaghu river and you will also witness tall, sheer, brick-red cliffs, directly across from the monastery.

After that we will move towards Tatev Monastery that represents the great architecture of Medieval Armenia. You will be able to witness several churches, living rooms, oil-making reservoir and buildings of economic importance in the monastery complex. The key highlight of this place is Wings of Tatev which is a cableway from Tatev to Halidzor Village and is listed as the longest rope-w ay of the world in Guinness World Records.

If you desire we can also take you for dinner in a good Armenian traditional restaurant that serves different traditional delicacies along with live Armenian folk music as Yerevan has many restaurants in Yerevan.

Day 3

We will start our day with the breakfast in the hotel and after that we will head for our Echmiadzin and Zvartnots tour (as it’s near to the airport and there is no need to come back to Yerevan as well).

At Echmiadzin we will visit three famous churches. First the Echmiadzin Mother Cathedral which is the only church with 7 domes in Armenia and also the Holy Seat of all the Armenians. Second is the Saint Hripsime Church which is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as it is an outstanding example of earlier Christian architecture with soaring ceilings and vast interior space. Third is the Saint Gayane Church which was built in honor of one of the Christian virgins killed by the Armenian King.

In the end we will also visit the famous 7th century ruins famous as Zvartnots temple and here you will get a chance to marvel at the brilliant architectural talent of ancient Armenians.

Day 4

The day will start with a breakfast at the hotel and after that we will visit the famous Garni Temple which is the only known pagan temple in the territory of Armenia as well as the whole of former Soviet Union that will help you to get acquainted with the paganism roots in Armenia. Further we will head to visit the Stone Symphony which is a breathtaking natural wonder formed with rocks and cliffs.

After that we will visit the Geghard Monastery which is also listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site and also house a rock-curved church of Armenia. You will also get enchanted with live spiritual songs inside this church which may lead to a good transformation. Each sound will touch you deep into heart and this place will offer an eternal inspiration for your life.

Day 5

The fifth day of our tour will also start with the breakfast at the hotel and then we will visit the famous Letters Park / Armenian Alphabet Monument that represents the 39 tracery letters of Armenian Alphabets.

After this we will visit the Saghmosavank which is a 13th-century Armenian monastic complex. Next we will visit the Haghpat and Sanahin monasteries that are included in the list of UNESCO Architectural Treasures and represent the highest flowering of Armenian religious architecture. You will also get a chance to explore the Lori region, its gorges etc.

Later we will go hiking to Kobayr monastery which is a 7th century monastery that has hidden ruin inside deep forest and is located on the edge of a very huge and impressive canyon. It’s a short and easy hike and offers beautiful views from the top.

Day 6

The last day of your tour will surely be the most exciting one so will start our day with a nice breakfast at the hotel and further moving to visit the Lake Sevan which is undoubtedly one of the most exciting sight in Armenia and also called the pearl of Armenia. You will surely fall in love with its austere and majestic beauty. The pure air and sandy beaches will surely make your day worth as this is the largest lake of the Caucasus and one of the highest fresh water lakes in the world. Then we will visit Sevanavank which is a monastic complex located on a peninsula at the north western shore of Lake Sevan.

Our next stop will be Dilijan which is also known as the Spa city of Armenia. This resort area is famous for its unique architectural and historical sights. We will take walk in an old street of the city to witness its picturesque beauty.

Further we will visit the Haghartsin is a 13th-century monastery located near the town of Dilijan which is known for its natural and architectural beauty.

In the end we will visit the monastic complex of Goshavank where you can marvel at the famous masterpiece of carved-cross stones known as khachkars which represents the great skills of craftsmen who created them.

Day 7

In the morning we will be visiting Vernisage, an open-air souvenir market which isn't a very big one but worth a visit and it also remains open on weekends.

After a shopping spree we will transfer you to Zvartnots international airport for the final departure.
