The museum of Maria Augusta Urrutia lies in the heart of the city and is listed in the city’s national heritage. This place commemorates the life and work of the famous aristocratic lady, Maria Augusta Urrutia. Her life was dedicated to charity. The house is an excellent example of the architecture of the 20th century Quito. The house is very modern with kitchen appliances, bathrooms and other facilities.

The museum has exhibitions of a large collection of "modern” household items from the period, as well as decorative pieces from the late nineteenth century, European furniture and art pieces that give you an idea about the distinguished tastes that lady from Quito had.

Entry fees:
Adults: $2, students& senior citizens
$1, Children under the age of 11: 50 cents.

Entry time: Tuesday to Saturday: 10am-6pm, Sunday: 9.30-5.30
